Lunar New Year, a memorable event and fantastic networking for Asia Business Connection
The recent Chinese New Year at The Asia Business Connection's 2012 Lunar New Year Dinner and International Showcase, was held in Parramatta. This annual event celebrating the Year of the Dragon, provided members and guests with an outstanding night of networking and entertaining speakers, as well as Asian food and traditional Chinese acts, music, and dancing.
Our distinguished guest speaker Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd, provided insights to the growing Asian-Australian trade and cultural relationships, and invited guest Adam Liaw - winner of Australia's MasterChef Series 2, 2010 - shared his journey from being a successful corporate lawyer to a man who made his culinary dreams a reality.
Feedback from the event was very positive, with feedback responses from guests indicating 85% made new business contacts.
