'St.George Bank highly values its association and sponsorship of the Western Sydney Business Connection (WSBC) and as an organisation with strong community values, St.George strives to connect with the local business community wherever possible. WSBC has been invaluable in this regard, connecting us with the local community and facilitating the introduction to many local businesses. These introductions have resulted in many new business relationships and we look forward to continuing our association with the Western Sydney Business Connection'.

Being a member of the Western Sydney Business Connection has opened up a wealth of doors for our company. These doors have led us to new business opportunities plus also to development opportunities for our staff. I have personally found that this is one of those rare organisations where when you attend the events you are welcomed and the other businesses attending are genuinely interested in how you can work together. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Western Sydney Business Connection to anyone looking for an organisation that you can fully engage with.
-Mellisa Green, Acting General Manager NSW/ACT, Bupa Australia Group
'Western Sydney Business Connection represents an outstanding regional network ofsuccessful business people.
As former managing director of Norwest Land, I was responsible for the development, marketing and sale of Norwest Business Park and in this capacity, I recognised the Connection’s potential for the promotion of the benefits of locating to Norwest
Business Park to a wide range of businesses.
The Connection remains a valuable point of contact for me with leading businesspeople in Sydney’s Greater West in my current role providing corporate and property advisory services.'
- Alan Zammit AM
Managing Director, UPDM PTY LIMITED
'Preformed Line Products (Australia) is a Western Sydney based manufacturer of products for the power, communications and solar industries. Regional operations extent into a number of countries in SE Asia and our membership of the Western Sydney Business Connection and Asia Business Connection plays an important and positive part in enabling us to have access to a wider source of information through contact with other member organisations at the various functions and meetings arranged by both WSBC and ABC.
A number of business opportunities have also been identified and pursued as a direct result of our participation and membership of the WSBC and ABC during the last 5 years . We regard the WSBC and ABC as the most effective organisations of their type within Western Sydney. '
-Norman Windell
Managing Director, Preformed Products
'Parramatta City Council has been a long-term supporter of the Western Sydney Business Connection. They are an extremely professional organisation and manage consistent high quality events and projects across the Western Sydney area. They make fitting choices in developing events which are appropriate to the most senior business people from Western Sydney and beyond. They are progressive – not an old-boys club – and are an organisation to be taken extremely seriously. You only have to attend one of their events to see the calibre of senior decision makers.'
-Mike Thomas
Manager, Economic Development, Parramatta City Council
'Our organization is a significant firm of Chartered Accountants based in Western Sydney but part of a global network. We are part of the Western Sydney community and whilst we benefit from it we recognize the need to and responsibility to give something back as well. A stronger business community in Western Sydney will benefit all participants.
The Western Sydney Business Connection (WSBC) and the Asia Business Connection (ABC) have provided us with the opportunity to do just that and to increase our recognition within the community.
WSBC is recognized as a superior business organization running excellent networking events with a far reaching audience. It is not parochial, other than in representing Western Sydney, and therefore the participants come from a wide cross section of the business community with many of the major enterprises involved. There is an opportunity to network with community leaders and decision makers, to share ideas and experiences and to meet the people that count. This organization is unique in that it represents an entire region and is the envy of many other regions.
ABC is the only networking organization which has a non country specific focus on Asia in Western Sydney. It is a separate organization but linked to WSBC through its membership and history. It was formed as an initiative of WSBC as a separate organization to ensure this focus was maintained. ABC has been successful in promoting Western Sydney to Asia and other areas of Australia and we are now very much on the international radar, with ABC being well known to the major countries of the region. Obviously, this is not due to ABC alone but I like to think we have made a contribution. ABC also provides opportunities for our local businesses to build helpful relationships and knowledge to facilitate their individual success in engaging with the other countries of our region.
The Western Sydney Business Connection and the Asia Business Connection have given us the opportunity to network with a variety of organizations to raise the profile of our business and increase our awareness of issues affecting our community whilst, at the same time, giving us an opportunity to contribute to the development of our region.
We are actively involved with all Connection activities and will continue to participate in the future.'
-Michael Hilliard,
Managing Partner, Moore Stephens
'I would just like to extend my thanks to the Western Sydney Business Connection with their assistance recently.
We were recently involved with moving a large exhibition from the CBD to Sydney Showground (Sydney Olympic Park) and a large part of our bid was to demonstrate the relevance of our location to their visitor and exhibitor base. The information and statistics that the Connection was able to provide to us to present to our client was fabulous.
When our client rang to tell me the good news that we had been successful, he specifically mentioned WSBC and how impressed he was with the relationship we had with WSBC.
As a member of WSBC, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for their personal effort and the resources of WSBC as we could not have secured the exhibition without the assistance of the Connection.
We look forward to continuing to be a member of WSBC so that we can continue to grow our business in Western Sydney.'
