Meet the Buyer: Strategic Matching Event Recap
On 3rd July 2025, Western Sydney Business Connection hosted Meet the Buyer: Strategic Matching Event, held as part of our Construction Connect series, delivered what our local business community has been asking for — real opportunities to engage directly with active procurers across the region.
Held at the world-class Institute of Applied Technology – Construction, Kingswood Campus, the event facilitated over 130 one-on-one meetings between local SMEs and major project stakeholders. These targeted conversations allowed businesses to showcase their capabilities and explore new procurement opportunities in Western Sydney’s booming construction and infrastructure landscape.
Our host and WSBC Board Member, Martin O’Connell, opened the event by highlighting the importance of initiatives like Construction Connect in supporting our region’s growth. As Western Sydney continues to expand, its success hinges on the collaboration of project leaders, contractors and suppliers who champion local jobs, First Nations participation, workforce development and genuine local content.
Real connections. Real opportunities. Real outcomes.
This is what Western Sydney Business Connection is all about – facilitating high-value engagement between local businesses and key decision-makers to drive economic growth across the region.
