What Does Modern Leadership Actually Look Like, Not as a Concept but as a Lived Experience?
June 2026
That is the question at the heart of our next Business Breakfast, and we have brought together three people who can answer it from the inside: Jennifer Westacott AC, Chancellor of Western Sydney University; James Jegasothy, Acting CEO of Multicultural NSW; and Karen Jones, CEO of Destination NSW.
Between them, they represent a combined record of navigating genuine institutional complexity, holding people through uncertainty, and making consequential decisions in circumstances where the right path was far from obvious.
We tend to reach for the language of structure when we talk about leadership: titles, reporting lines, the size of a budget. But the leaders who leave a lasting impression are rarely remembered for any of that. They are remembered for who they chose to become, and what they were willing to carry on behalf of the people around them.
We think that conversation is worth an early morning. We hope you will join us.
