Western Sydney Business Connection hosts Meet the Buyer – Strategic Matching Event each year which aim to elevate SMEs’ visibility to potential procurers across the area and facilitate the establishment of new business relationships through a series of concise face-to-face meetings. Designed to foster meaningful business relationships, the event matches local suppliers with major procurers through a series of targeted, 15-minute face-to-face meetings. These Buyers are actively seeking goods and services for projects planned over the next 12–18 months.

This event presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with the supply chain of Western Sydney, contributing to the advancement of local industry involvement in major ventures. By doing so, we can aid in recovery, stimulate the local economy, and ensure the creation of future employment opportunities across the region.

In addition, the Meet The Buyer event equip SMEs with crucial information on conducting business with the participating organisations, insights into upcoming projects or procurement requirements, and guidance on accessing project and procurement details from these entities.

This event is open to both Members of The Connection and non-members.

Our Strategic Matching Events are designed to:

Maximise SMEs exposure to potential procurers from across the region

Help SMEs create new business connections by scheduling several 15 minute face-to-face meetings with procurers over a half day event

How Does It Work?

Interested businesses need to submit their Expression of Interest to be considered for this event.

Businesses that best match the services and/or products that our buyers are looking to procure will be selected by our business matching panel and invited to attend.

Throughout the event, Buyers will participate in a series of one-on-one, 15-minute, in-person meetings with selected suppliers. Buyers will share insights about collaborating with your organisation, outline any upcoming projects or procurement needs, and guide them on where to access pertinent information for the times ahead.
