Local football fans are in for a treat in coming months, with some of the best teams from across Asia set to take to the turf at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, as part of the AFC Champions League.

The Western Sydney Wanderers became the first Australian team to win the competition in 2014, and will this year play their three group stage games at the stadium, bringing world-class football to Campbelltown’s doorstep.

The Red & Black will take on Japanese football giants – the Urawa Red Diamonds – on 21 February with kick off at 8pm.
